Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and the operator of Bookify Malta, the trading name of Christian Azzopardi (“Bookify Malta”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, or by accessing or using the Bookify Malta platform at bookify.mt or any app we provide, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Bookify Malta is a booking management platform for salons, barbers and beauty businesses in Malta and Gozo. These Terms apply to the Bookify Malta platform. The use of our marketing website is governed separately by our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Bookify Malta is the trading name of Christian Azzopardi, an individual entrepreneur founded in 2024 in Malta and built in Gozo. We are registered for VAT in Malta (MT30087118). We are a Malta-based service and comply with Maltese and EU law, including the GDPR and the Maltese Data Protection Act. You can reach us at info@bookify.mt.
2. What the platform does
Bookify Malta lets you manage your business: receive and approve self-booking requests, run a live calendar, keep client records, organise services into categories, send automated SMS reminders (an add-on on some plans), handle two-way reschedules and see revenue and booking stats. You are responsible for deciding how you use the platform for your business.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Bookify Malta. If you register on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that the business is lawfully entitled to offer the services you list.
4. Your account
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information about your business;
- Keep your password secure and do not share your login;
- Notify us promptly at info@bookify.mt if you suspect unauthorised access;
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including staff accounts you create.
5. Plans, pricing and billing
Bookify Malta offers a free Basic plan and paid plans (currently Pro, Business and Enterprise) as described on our pricing page. Pro is free for your first 3 months. Prices shown on our website are exclusive of Maltese VAT; 18% VAT is added on top at the applicable rate.
We invoice paid plans and send invoices to the billing email on your account. Payment terms are stated on each invoice. Bookify Malta does not charge per-booking fees, success fees or commissions on individual bookings, and there are no lock-in contracts.
We may update pricing with reasonable notice by email. Price changes do not apply to an already-paid billing period.
6. Free trial
New accounts can use Pro free for the first 3 months. If you do not move to a paid plan after the trial, your account reverts to the free Basic plan. We will tell you before this happens. Existing bookings already in your calendar continue to work.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel your paid plan at any time by emailing info@bookify.mt. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Bookify Malta to:
- Break the law, defraud anyone or infringe third-party rights;
- Upload content that is illegal, defamatory or infringes privacy;
- Create fake bookings, fake clients or fake reviews;
- Harass, threaten or impersonate anyone;
- Scrape, reverse-engineer or overload our systems;
- Send unsolicited commercial messages through the platform.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
9. Content you upload
You keep ownership of the content you upload (business profile, services, categories, photos, client notes). You grant Bookify Malta a limited licence to store, process and display that content solely to operate the platform and provide the service to you.
10. Client data you bring in
For the personal data of your own clients (such as names and phone numbers) that you record in Bookify Malta, you act as the data controller and Bookify Malta acts as your data processor. Our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these Terms. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to hold client data and for how you collect it (for example, client consent to receive SMS reminders).
11. Intellectual property
The Bookify Malta name, logo, platform software and design are owned by Christian Azzopardi, trading as Bookify Malta. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for your business during your subscription. No other rights are granted.
12. Availability and disclaimers
We aim to keep the platform reliable and take reasonable measures to protect your data, which is hosted in the EU. However, the platform is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data. We are not responsible for no-shows, for how you run your business, or for services you deliver to your clients.
13. Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if continued operation creates risk to the platform or other users. We will give you reasonable notice where possible, and you can export your data before termination where it is feasible for us to provide it.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and notified by email where practical. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer under Maltese or EU law. Questions, complaints or requests should be sent to legal@bookify.mt.
